Origins Game Fair!

Greetings all.  Life and game testing has had me very busy and kind of neglecting the blog.  I am making myself do I post a week from here on out.  I wanted to let everybody know I will be at Origins Game Fair next month.  I will be running Learn to Play classes  for Firestorm Armada, Halo Ground Command and Halo Fleet Battles.  We will also be doing an FSA tournament on Sunday of the Convention.  I will be pulling double duty with the help of Larry also doing Infinity Boot camps and an ITS tournament on Saturday of the convention.  So come on out and play and say HI!

Lets look at the Schedule!

First Look: Dropfleet Commander

Greetings all!  SeerK here with another follow up to Origins 2016.  As some of you have probably seen already, Hawk Games gave people a chance to try out Dropfleet Commander at Origins 2016.  40kOrigins, the group I work with at Origins, had the exclusive rights to premiere Dropfleet Commander at Origins this year.  We ran some Leanr to play classes using the top secret Beta Rules book.  I was able to get some tidbits despite my busy schedule of running learn to play Firestorm Armada classes and Infinity Boot Camps.  Lets take a look

Origins 2016: After Report (Warning Pic Heavy!)

Greetings all! Telarion and I survived Origins.  We are back home and getting unpacked.  I have to say I spent way to much in the vendor hall this year.  I picked up a bunch of Infinity stuff and picked up some Guildball as well.  I had a demo and it was very fun.  Look for some future articles on Guildball as I play and explore the game with the Battle Creek and K-Zoo crews.  I also got tempted back into Warmachine.  The deal they had for the MK3 starter boxes was nice and I could not resist.

The events we ran at the convention also did very well.  We had well over 30 people participate in the Learn to Play Firestorm Armada classes.  The tournament turnout for the Columbus Incident and the Columbus Brawl I.T.S were not great, but both events fired.

I want to congratulate our winners and thank all the participants.  Blood in the sun being on the same weekend as Origins was a big factor me thinks.  I am really hoping that the events do not overlap next year so I can attend both and hopefully get some more players.  Lets look at our winners!

WayGate Update: SeerK Is Goin To NOVA

Hi all! SeerK here. So it occurred to me that I had not posted in a while. I have been pretty busy with a brand new job and they have me out of town quite a bit for training. A lot has been going on and once again real life has kept me from writing. Well time to change that. I figured I should do an update. Spartan and Corvus Belli have been busy over the past month. I also have some tournaments and conventions coming up I wanted to mention. I am planning on doing some posts this week in my down time at the hotel. So stay tuned for some predictions based on Spartans Latest releases.  Lets talk conventions.  Origins, Gencon, The Michigan GT and The NOVA Open.  Wait SeerK did you say NOVA?!?!?  I did!

Onward to Origins! FSA and Infinity!

Greetings all!  SeerK here.  Now that Adepticon 2016 is in the books, I am moving on to my next project.  I speak of course about Origins Game fair in Columbus Ohio.  Origins takes place June 15th through the 19th.  Badges are on sale now.  I generally like more lead time on events, but GAMA does not move as fast as our friends at Adepticon and The Michigan GT.  This is due in part to the size of the convention.

Update From The Front: Origins 2015 So Far!

SeerK here almost live from Columbus Ohio.  I am here with 40kOrigins running war games and seeing the sights.  I have been learning and running a ton of Malifaux for the past couple of days. I have had the privilege of working with Kelly and Aaron at the Wyrd Miniatures booth running Intro to Malifaux sessions.

I have also got a glimpse at some of the new ships for the Drop Zone Commander space ship game currently in development by Hawk War games and GW legend Andy Chambers.  I thought I would post an update and show you some of the things I am seeing.  So here are some pictures from Origins 2015 so far.

Well that is all for now.  I will post more pictures as I get them uploaded.  I have to track down fellow Firebase Delta Podcast host Robert as well.  He is working over at the Calliope Games booth, so if you are here and a fan of the show or blog come say hi to us both.

Until next time...

Journey Into The Breach: Malifaux

Greetings all.  SeerK here.  Today I wanted to talk about a game that I have recently been learning.  Tj over at Dark Future Games  has been talking about his journey into Infinity, I am starting to get into that as well, so I thought I should post about my journey into the world of Malifaux.  I was approached by 40kOrigins to help out at Origins Game Fair June 3rd-7th.  They are running all the 40K, Necromunda and BFG tournaments as well as running demos of Mercs, Drop Zone Commander, Rivet Wars and Malifaux.

I personally will be Running Malifaux Demos Wednesday and Thursday.  I am not running and Spartan Games stuff, but I will have my Firestorm Armada fleets and Firestorm Planetfall army with me if anybody is interested in a game or 5.  Next year me thinks there will be some Firestorm Armada though.

SO lets take a look at Malifaux.  I am new to the game so please excuse me if I make any errors.  So far I have been enjoying it.
