The Road to Adepticon: Prologue

Greetings all.  SeerK here to start the flagrant promotion of Adepticon 2017.  For those of you new to all games Spartan and The WayGate, Adepticon is the biggest and best Miniature war games convention in North America.  Schaumburg Illinois plays host to this convocation of all things plastic, resin and metal.  For the past 2 years the WayGate staff and I have been putting on The Schaumburg Prime Offensive North American Firestorm Armada Championships.  Last Year we added Firestorm Planet Fall in the form of The Schaumburg Beach Head Planetfall GT.  This year we are growing......big time....



This year Neil, George and I decided to expand.  Well I mostly decided we needed to expand, but as always they are on board to help out .  We have three intrepid Vanguards joining us this year as well to help us run an event for every game Spartan makes.  Thats right Spartan fans,  there will be something for everybody this year.

The Schaumburg Prime Offensive returns and this time we have a two day event.  Saturday will be a 3 round event, using custom missions as in the previous years.  Day one will be a return to 900 points based on feedback from players last year.  The top 8 from day one will battle it out in another 3 round single elimination tournament on Sunday.  Day two will test players skills as it will be with Patrol fleets at 800 points.

The Schaumburg Beach Head also returns this year.  This time we are going up to 5000 points in a 3 round event!  Table size will also increase to a 4x6 since we are going to double the points of last year.  Players can look forward to this tournament on Friday and will be over in time for players to participate in one of new, and very fun events.

The Firestorm Universe has one more event at Adepticon.  We will be doing a massive multiplayer narrative battle that not only will be fun, but will be tied into the new Flashpoint Campaign!  Thats right you will be able to help decide the fate of the Firestorm Universe!

Halo Players can rest easy as we will have The Battle Of Reach happening at Adepticon!  A 3 round 1500 point battle royal in Halo Fleet battles will be taking place on Thursday with a 1000 point 3 round Halo Ground Command tournament on Sunday!  The Official play rules for both games will be in use.  These will be great events if you are just starting out or an experienced player.


Dystopian fans can look forward to a 1250 point Navel core Dsytopian Wars GT.  Allies will be allowed but you may only have 1 additional faction.  150 minute rounds and custom scenarios will be used.  I like to call this one The Schaumburg Clash!


This year will have something for everybody.  I have some more good news and I hope to have thinsg all set before the 1st of October.  I really wish I could announce it now, but I want to make sure things are locked in and everything is set in stone so to speak.  I will be doing updates at least twice a month as we get closer to the big show.  Registration for Adepticon will be opening early in November and I will have our schedule of events posted before then so you can plan your convention.
