The Road to Adepticon: The Schaumburg Beach Head Planetfall GT

Greetings all!  SeerK here once again to talk Adepticon.  As you know we have six Spartan Games events at Adepticon this year.  Halo Fleet Battles, Halo Ground Command, Dystopian Wars, Firestorm Armada and Firestorm Planetfall are all on the menu.  In this Installment we are discussing Firestorm Planetfall, but first I wanted to announce our latest sponsor! Gamemat.EU joins us this year as a sponsor.  They will be supplying support for our Halo and Planetfall events in the form of Terrain.  They produce high quality resin terrain and Game Mats. The Schaumburg Beach Head returns for its second year at Adepticon.  We have some changes in format this year so lets take a look!



The Schaumburg Beach Head returns bigger and better than last year.  This year We h.ave upped the points level and with it the size of the tables! Players will be making 5000 point lists and playing on 6x4 tables.  5000 points is double the size of last year.  This is in response to player feedback from our inaugural year.  We also wanted to really let players make some big armies and show off more of their collection.

The tournament will be 3 rounds.  Players will have 2.5 hours per round to battle their opponent and test their skills in 3 custom missions.  The Mission format will be similar to last year.  Missions will be multi tiered with a Primary, Secondary and Tertiary objectives.  The Zero hour Tracker will be set to 100.  This is to give players a chance to get their huge armies around the table and engage their opponents.  It also accounts for the extra TV from taking and holding Objectives.  The team and I are working on missions.  We are working in concert with Spartan on the missions.  Our rules cut off will be the Febrary 28th.  Any rules updates and such that come out after this date will not be legal for play.  So be sure you download the ORBAT and FAQ on the 28th of February and do not update it.  I recommend printing it out so you have the proper copy.  We will have the copy of the FAQ and ORBATS from the 28th at the judges table, but you will want to make sure you have a copy for game play.

As with the other games I am hoping I have some goodies to show off at Adepticon for Planetfall.  I am working with Spartan Neil and Spartan Derek to have some previews for what is in store for Planetfall this coming year.  I will make the announcements as we get closer to the convention,
