Merry Christmas!

From everybody at The Waygate, Merry Christmas, Happy Yule, Happy Hanukkah ( even though it ended on the 14th).  The Holiday season is always full of joy and frustration.  Remember to sit back and just relax.  The WayGate staff will be having a festive brunch today and celebrating with friends as well as family.

I will be doing 2 more posts this year.  I am trying to get the next part of the Planetfall Relthoza series done and by January 31st I will have our year in review.  After that I plan on buckling down and getting on a regular weekly posting schedule.  I want to be more consistent in bringing you coverage of events, releases and the groups musings on the games we play.

Terquai and Xelocians Inbound!

SeerK here with a quick update.  Images have appeared of the new ships for the Xelocians and the Terquai.  We also have Ground Attack Ariel Helixs inbound for Planetfall.  all of it is due out in October!  Enjoy!

Relthoza In Planetfall Pt 2: Heavy Armor

Greetings all! SeerK here once again to talk Firestorm. We will be continuing to talk about the Relthoza in Firestorm Planetfall. Last time we discussed the Core Helix. In this installment we will be talking about the Heavy Helix and Firepower Leviathan Helix. These heavy hitters help the army out in the offensive firepower department and in the case of the Leviathan an anchor for your drone swarms.

Firestorm Planetfall: New ORBATs Released

Today is a glorious day for Planetfall players. New model profile documents have been released (think codexes) for all the factions of Planetfall. The main anticipation was building for the release of the stats for the three new alien Firepower Leviathan Helixes (Helices?). There was much more to be found, however. Spartan has been changing up the points and stats for their models during each launch wave and this was no exception. There were significant changes to some units and mild tweaks to others. Very interesting was the fact that Breacher Team upgrades have disappeared from the armies, mostly replaced with Sweeper Teams. This shift from defense to offense for Infantry squads may be an indicator of future things, perhaps having to do with the next release of Recon Helixes. Little is known at this point, though. We are keeping a watchful eye on the horizon.

Firestorm Planetfall: New Firepower Leviathan Pics

Looks like Spartan Games released some pictures of their new Firepower Leviathans for Relthoza, Sorylians, and Aquans. From the initial renders, I wasn't sure if I was going to like the Relthoza one but now, having seen a painted one, I am a total fanboy of it.
